Parent Aides are specially trained caring people who spend approximately one hour per week with a family in need of support. A Parent Aide is a person who understands the unique challenges of being a parent and is willing to help other parents cope with life’s daily problems through a caring and supportive relationship. Parent Aides assist parents with practical information on:

• Recognizing a baby's needs.
• Balancing baby’s needs and parent’s needs.
• Developmental expectations.
• Home management skills.

Becoming a Parent Aide will provide a volunteer with the opportunity to share themselves and their life experiences to better the life of a child.
