Parent
Aides are specially trained caring people who spend approximately
one hour per week with a family in need of support. A Parent
Aide is a person who understands the unique challenges of being
a parent and is willing to help other parents cope with life’s
daily problems through a caring and supportive relationship.
Parent Aides assist parents with practical information on:
- Recognizing
a baby's needs.
- Balancing baby’s needs and parent’s
needs.
- Developmental expectations.
- Home management skills.
Becoming a Parent Aide will provide a volunteer with the
opportunity to share themselves and their life experiences
to better the life of a child.
